Volunteer
HR Executive Network offers a variety of ways to be involved with other Senior level HR professionals within the organization. We currently have volunteer opportunities available at both a committee level and the Board level. Please review the information below and contact our Board President, to learn more!
Communication and Marketing Committee
The Communication and Marketing Committee raises the internal and external visibility and credibility of the chapter through effectively positioning the HR Executive Network brand in all internal and external communications. The Committee communicates through the member website, quarterly member meetings, and handles the advertising strategies for program events. The Committee oversees the chapter's social media presence and communications as well as website content. Committee members are required to attend a one hour virtual meeting every month, attend quarterly member meetings, and execute various action items to support the Committee's efforts.
Communications Chair
- Collaborates with President to create overall communication and marketing strategy
- Manages the creation and revision of communication collateral and tools, brochures, website, surveys, and related materials
- Manages the communication process for programs and events directly to members
- Schedules events on the website
- Send out event emails
- Responsible for social media accounts
- Attends monthly Board meetings, leads Committee meetings, and attends quarterly member meetings
Program Committee
The Programming Committee is responsible for adding member value by creating multiple opportunities and choices of formats where members can participate in learning and networking. The Committee will plan, implement, and support quarterly member meetings and special events. Committee members are required to attend a one hour virtual meeting every month, attend quarterly member meetings, and execute various action items to support the Committee's efforts.
Programming Chair
- Leads the design and development of learning and networking events and presents to the Board for final approval
- Compiles speaker bio and program information for Communication Chair so that program announcements can be sent out with advance notice
- Partners with the Finance Chair to ensure programming is within budget allocated for the events
- Drives quality of event content in alignment with the HREN strategy, affiliate membership needs
- Collaborates with Communication Chair to send out meeting/program surveys after each event and provides analysis to the Board
- Attends monthly Board meetings, leads Committee meetings, and attends quarterly member meetings
